Using mounted specimens, we’ll investigate the various unique and unusual adaptations that birds rely on to survive in their different habitats. Based on their observations, students will work together in small groups to design a bird for a specific habitat. During the presentation, a visit with Ranger, our live red-tailed hawk, will demonstrate the unique adaptations specific to birds of prey.
