We will explore the life cycle of a plant through immersive visualization and by modeling a plant’s structures and functions. The group will dramatize a pollinator’s role in how flowers turn into seeds and explore the unique ways that plant seeds are dispersed. As a class the students will also create a model to explore the parts of a tree and the role each part plays in the tree’s survival, all while discovering the services plants provide both to their ecosystems and to people. Students will participate in the Pollinator Speed Dating Activity to explore how certain plant structures are adapted to attract specific pollinators.
