Using mounts, dramatization, and hands-on activities, we’ll look at how adaptations and habitat help shape the way an animal looks and acts. We’ll also learn about the basic needs of animals and the characteristics and behaviors that help them survive. The class will discuss the various survival techniques used by animals throughout the changing seasons. Students will have a chance to interact with live reptiles and amphibians, hear animal calls, and touch animal pelts and artifacts. Topics will correspond with the current season.
