REGISTER HERE

Are you interested in having a garden that’s better for you and for the environment? Then consider joining us to learn all about native gardening! We will discuss the benefits of native gardens, provide resources to help you start planning a native garden of your own, and take a short hike to see the impacts of native gardens on our environment in real time.

What to Expect:
This program starts indoors and ends outdoors. Plan to be seated indoors for a brief presentation. The remaining time will be spent on a leisurely walk outdoors with frequent stops. Our walk will be about ½ mile round-trip and will conclude at the Kensington Nature Center. The path is dirt and gravel and mostly flat and level, and we may also be on grass lawn. No prior experience is necessary.

Ages: 9 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Time: 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Kensington Metropark, Nature Center Classroom

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
