Become a “natural philosopher” as we observe and test some of these principles on the way to earning the Webelos Adventures in Science badge, incorporating STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Edible Geology for Families and Scouts

Project WILD is a wildlife-focused conservation education program for K-12 teachers, naturalists, scout leaders, and other environmental educators. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. Participants will learn tools to apply to teaching their group, and receive the guide. Participants should bring a lunch and be prepared to spend some time outdoors. Learn how to identify and tap a maple tree, and then see how we boil the sap down to syrup. Enjoy delicious French toast sticks dipped in real maple syrup as the program concludes.
