Metroparks collecting toys for ‘Toys for Tots’

Add special meaning to your next visit to your Metroparks by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy to brighten a child’s Christmas!

Once again, the Huron-Clinton Metroparks is proud to serve as a collection site for the Toys for Tots program. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off to nine Metroparks, along with the Huron-Clinton Metroparks Administrative Office.

The Toys for Tots program is conducted annually by the United States Marine Corps Reserve and serves to give children a present under their tree.

Donated toys will then be distributed to needy children in Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties through local Marine distribution centers. We are proud of our park visitors and employees, who typically donate thousands of toys each year at the Metropark collection sites.

Toy collection deadlines for the Metroparks are as follows:

  • Thursday, December 15th – Lake Erie and Lower Huron
  • Friday, December 16th – Lake St. Clair, Stony Creek, Wolcott Mill
  • December 19th – Administrative Office, Hudson Mills, Huron Meadows, Kensington and Indian Springs
