Lake St. Clair Master Plan & Natural Resources Public Input Meetings – March 25th

Overview

This first public meeting is an informal open house, designed to give attendees the opportunity to learn about the planning process and express general opinions about the future of the park; there will be no formal presentation. Participants will browse posters detailing the master planning timeline and park information, take part in an activity to determine interest in various activities offered at the park, fill out a questionnaire, and have the opportunity to discuss ideas or concerns with Metroparks staff. Children are welcomed and encouraged to attend and participate.

The master plan meeting will be preceded by a public meeting on natural resources management activities. At this hour long meeting Metroparks staff will provide an overview of natural resources activities past and present. Following this there will be time for questions from the public about these activities or any other natural resource related issue within the parks. This meeting is intended to focus on the natural resource issues in the eastern district but questions about other Metroparks are welcomed and encouraged.
