What are some items you should bring on a hike with you? Visit the nature center to find out what to do before a hike. We’ll meet a couple of the Nature Center animals, then explore the park to find animals and the signs they leave behind. Boy Scout Webelos: Earth Rocks

Become a geologist for a day and learn the basics of rocks and minerals and the reasons why they are so important in our daily lives. Learn about the rock cycle using kitchen gadgets, build a gum drop mineral model, experiment with mineral test kits, go on an earth product scavenger hunt, and locate important geological features on Michigan maps. We will be outside for a portion of the program, so be sure to dress for the weather. Interested in more scouting adventures?
