Join us in collecting native seed from Oakwoods Metropark. We will meet in the Cedar Knoll  (look for the Metroparks vehicle and blue flag). Volunteers receive free day entry to the park, just let the toll booth attendant know you are at the park for a volunteer workday.

Trick-or-Treat Along the Trail

During this evening program, costume-clad little ones will experience Halloween-themed stops along the Nature Trails. Bring a bag or bucket to collect treats. Upon your return to the festively-decorated Metropark Office enjoy cider, donuts. Tours leave at scheduled times. This program is geared towards younger children. After a hayride, a lantern-bearing guide will lead you through the pumpkin-lit woods to encounter various characters and uncanny situations. This tour showcases Michigan’s legends and local history. This is not a haunted attraction. Ages 8 and up. Preregistration required, 734-782-3956.
