This program is for teens and adults, and skill areas offered include Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Bead Working, Fiber Arts, Pioneer Life Skills, Open Fire Cooking on the open hearth, camp fire, Dutch oven and brick oven. You will complete a project to take home during the class. Located at the Kensington Living History Village, parking available at the Farm Center. Ages 14 and up. Morning Canoe through the Marsh

Kick-off the B.A.M Festival with the MICRO-Marathon. A .262 mile (that’s a little over a ¼ mile) walk/run. All participants that register before June 15th will receive a MICRO-Marathon t-shirt; and all participants 21 years and older are eligible for a special post-race prize. Join us for our second annual B.A.M. Festival celebrating the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. Check out vehicles from the Prohibition Era (1920’s and 30’s), enjoy local food trucks, and those 21 and older can visit the beer tasting tent featuring Michigan craft beers. Apollo 11: 50th Anniversary Celebration

Fifty years ago Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin landed on a place everyone could see, but no one had touched. The Moon! They took “one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind” (-Neil Armstrong). Begin your first step at Hudson Mills Metropark as we celebrate Apollo 11’s 50th Anniversary. Take a tour of constellations in our portable planetarium, take a moon tour, build yourself a moon-tastic helmet, hear some moon stories, create a solar bracelet, and build an alka seltzer rocket. Most activities are free. 10 am – 2 pm. All Ages. No registration necessary.
