Drop-in Owl Pellet Dissecting Day

Stop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to learn about owls, owl pellets, and get your very own owl pellet dissection kit. Our staff will help you work through the pellet to discover what the owl had for lunch, and we will attempt to put the skeleton of the animal back together.

Beautiful orange and black monarch butterflies are a common sight in the summer and fall. However, did you know less than 10% of monarch eggs survive to become butterflies? There are many ways to help monarchs, from planting milkweed to raising them in your home! Come learn some basics of the monarch butterfly and how to raise them. Ages 8 and up. Good old-fashioned fun with something for everyone. Events include: watch the cows being milked at 10 a.m., candle dipping, games, afts, horse riding demonstrations, dog agility, kiddie tractors, gas powered planes, a milk mustache booth, wagon rides, and much more. Vendors will be on site with their handmade afts and art. Enter our parade with your decorated (dairy or patriotic themed) bicycle, tricycle, wagon or stroller. Prizes will be awarded to the most eative. All ages.
