Easter Egg Scramble – Hudson Mills Metropark

Bring the kids to scramble in our field of 4000 eggs! This Eastertime tradition at Hudson Mills Metropark also includes visits with live barnyard animals such as donkeys, goats, baby sheep, and ducks. Also, enjoy face-painting and visits with strolling costumed characters your kids will love, for no additional charge. And of course, we have the Easter Bunny. Be sure to bring your camera to capture all the new memories. Fields and scramble times are separated into age groups. Early arrival recommended. Activities begin at noon. Ages 10 and younger. Farm Egg Scramble – Wolcott Mill Metropark Farm Center

Come out and visit with the farm animals and participate in the best egg scramble around! Take your picture with the Easter Bunny, visit with Roscoe the Clown and stop by Bunnyville and meet the rabbits. Kids can make a craft to take home and enter our coloring contest. Timed scrambles by age starting at 1 p.m. with the make-up scramble at 3:30 p.m. Wagon rides and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Science Olympiad Amazing Arthropods Session 2 Workshop

Need help getting your team ready for Science Olympiad? Session 2 participants will meet live arthropods with an outdoor up-close experience using various methods and tools of collecting (all specimens will be returned to natural habitat). We will engage students using a variety of interactive study tools. Content focus: arthropod species list, visually recognize and describe the unique physical and behavioral characteristics, discuss biology, ecology, and conservation of each species, and economic impacts. We will hold a “mock event” (5 stations) for students to get comfortable with the station rotation process. There will be coach-led study stations set up for teams to try out their existing knowledge. Program lasts 2.5 hours. Please preregister, 586-463-4332.
