One event on May 15, 2021 at 12:30pm

Scouts will complete requirements for this Eagle-required badge while learning about the park ecosystems, with in-person and online work. Activities include using data loggers and science tools to take measurements and compare study plots in different park locations, developing a land use plan, learning about local threatened and endangered species, exploring how to keep water clean, and investigating erosion. This program is led by a certified merit badge counselor who will sign your blue card.  Prerequisites and homework between the two in-person sessions, May 8 and May 15, will be completed using Google Classroom. Scouts must attend both sessions in order to earn the badge. Expect to walk up to 1.5 miles on gravel trails during each session. Face coverings are required to be worn during the program and all participants are reminded to practice social distancing.

Ages 11 – 17.
