February 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Events Navigation
Why doesn’t your sled keep moving? We’ll get on the sledding hill to test friction and the materials that make for a slow or fast sled. In this hands-on activity, you will receive a supply packet with materials to test the science of sledding. You will design a miniature sled to carry a specific weight down the hill. Will your miniature sled be fast, slow or somewhere in-between? Bring your own sled to go sledding after you learn about the science of sledding. If there is more than one person in your group, you have the option to buying one packet for the entire group, or a packet per person. All materials will be supplied. This program is held entirely outdoors and is snow dependent. Social distancing and face coverings are required.
