Ospreys of Stony Creek

Did you know that ospreys suffered the same fate of Eagles and other birds of prey because of DDT pesticide use in the 1960’s and early 1970’s? Learn about the re-introduction of ospreys to Stony Creek Metropark and other Metroparks beginning in 1999. From Kensington Metropark to Stony Creek Metropark these birds have made a tremendous comeback as impressive as the Eagles.
Ages 5 and up.
