Ospreys by Wagon for Seniors
June 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Did you know that Ospreys suffered the same fate of Eagles and other birds of prey because of DDT use in the 1960’s and early 1970’s? Learn about the re-introduction of Ospreys to Stony Creek and other Metroparks beginning in 1999. From Kensington to Stony Creek Metroparks these birds have made a tremendous comeback as impressive as the Eagles. Learn why they are called fish-hawks, who are well adapted to living with people. Enjoy a wagon ride to the Osprey viewing site.
