Notice of Public Hearing for Project at Lower Huron Metropark – Administrative Office
March 8 @ 9:00 am
The Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority is serving notice of a public hearing to announce a proposed project that will be considered for Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund or Land and Water Conservation Fund grant funding. The reason for the public hearing is to offer the general public an opportunity to review the project plans and ask questions.
Redevelopment of the North Fishing Site at Lower Huron Metropark
Lower Huron Metropark is a 1,258-acre park located in southwestern Wayne County and is part of both the Huron River National Water Trail, the Iron Belle Trail, and connects to the I-275 Metro Trail. The project involves the redevelopment of the North Fishing Site that includes accessibility improvements to the canoe/kayak launch, picnic area, and parking lot; expanded parking lot with trailer parking spaces; new turnaround drop-off for paddlers; and a trailhead structure that incorporates Iron Belle Trail and Huron River Water Trail information.
All interested persons are invited to attend. Written comments are welcome and may be addressed to the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority, Planning Department – Attn: Nina Kelly, 13000 High Ridge Drive, Brighton, Michigan 48114 or electronically mailed to email@example.com until March 27, 2018.
