Native Seed Ball Make & Plant
November 8 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:00am, repeating until November 14, 2020
Help us restore our native areas! Your Metroparks are looking for volunteers to make native seed balls that will be planted at the parks. Leading up to the week of November 8, interested participants will register and then pick up their native seed ball kits, with seeds harvest at the Metroparks last year, at designated park offices: Kensington, Stony Creek and Lower Huron Metroparks. On November 8, please return to the designated park and plant your seed ball in the specified area of the park.
Volunteers will receive instructions on how to make their seed balls when registering and when picking up your kit. Volunteers also receive free park entry to pick up seed kits and to plant seeds.
Fun for all ages!
Time: All Day
Location: Stony Creek Metropark – sign will designate seed planting area
Pre-registration and seed ball kit pick up is required by October 31.
