Invert Investigators: On Land

August 25 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

In the summer our fields are full of buzzing, hopping, and singing “bugs”! Scientists use the word “invertebrate” to talk about animals like insects and spiders that do not have a skeleton. Families can work as a team to use sweep nets and collecting jars to catch, observe, and release these critters. Compare invertebrates found in the forest habitat with what we can find in the field or grassland. Join us to find out why these tiny animals are essential for all life on earth.
