Homeschool: Citizen Science

April 15 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Citizen Science is a way for members of the public to contribute to scientific research by gathering data collectively from many locations. The focus for this class is Journey North, an organization that collects information on a variety of species. We will search and document early signs of spring including milkweed sprouting, tree leaves emerging, hummingbirds and orioles returning, and robins nesting. This data helps scientists track fluctuations in season-driven natural occurrences.
