Girl Scouts: National Save the Bees Day
August 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Bees are a critical but threatened part of natural and agricultural ecosystems. Scouts will explore the lives and roles of social bees, like the imported western honey bees, as well as native solitary bees like leafcutter and mason bees. They will learn about bees’ vital part in producing the crops they eat, and how they can help bees survive and thrive. Scouts will also try their hands at being a bee as they pollinate flowers and explore the flowers’ structures and functions.
Fun for all ages.
