Girl Scouts National Geologist Day – Michigan Rocks

Have fun indoors while we discuss how glaciers formed during Michigan’s last ice age, and the evidence they left on the landscape. Scouts will learn how Michigan landforms are still being shaped through different erosional process. Model glacial movement and other processes using the stream table and “Glacial Goo”. Outdoors, we will hike to different park landforms to look for evidence that glaciers were once here.
Ages 8 and up.
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per scout
