Fall Color Tour – Bike and Picnic in Lower Huron & Willow Metroparks

Come and experience the beautiful fall colors along the Lower Huron River and in the Huron-Clinton southern-most Metropark System. Bike (or hike) as few or as many miles as you want in Lower Huron, Willow, Oakwoods, and Lake Erie Metroparks. Kayak on the Huron River or Washago Pond (bring your own kayaks). And picnic / BBQ with ski club friends at the scenic Washago Pond Pavillion in Willow Metropark (in the center of the 3 parks).
Details: Meet at Washago Pond Pavilion in Willow Metropark beginning as early as 10:00 am. There are numerous different bike routes along paved bike paths – north to Lower Huron Metropark and south/southeast through Oakwoods to Flatrock, and all the way to Lake Erie Metropark. You can kayak on Washago Pond or the Huron River. Or, just come for tailgating, BBQ, picnic, and fun. Please bring your food to grill and a dish to share. And the park does allow beer & wine, please drink responsibly. NO FOOD OR DRINK IS PROVIDED. So, again, please bring your own. Horseshoe, lawn games, cards, etc. will be available.
Cost: No cost – AASC is paying for the rent of the Washago Pond shelter area. Just bring your fun!

A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $35 annually for regular admission, $21 annually for seniors or $10 daily.
