Boy Scout Webelos: Earth Rocks

Become a geologist for a day and learn the basics of rocks and minerals and the reasons why they are so important in our daily lives. Learn the rock cycle using kitchen gadgets, build a gum drop mineral model, experiment with mineral test kits, go on a geologic product scavenger hunt, and locate important local features on Michigan maps. Interested in more? Scouts can satisfy the requirements for two elective adventures in the same day! Pack a lunch and attend Webelos: Castaway from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. for a full day of fun. Please dress for the weather – this program will be both indoors and outdoors, rain or shine.

Ages 8 – 10.

Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Cost: $5 per scout
