Bird Migration Day: Beginning Birders

May 9 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Have fun with your family as we celebrate International Migratory Bird Day with a hike along the nature trails. Learn how to use binoculars and what to look for when we ID birds. Use the nature center’s binoculars or bring your own. After our hike, we’ll stop and watch our federally-licensed bird bander catch, band, and release songbirds. Plant a seed and make a birdfeeder to take home. This is perfect event for the first-time birder, families or if you have a mild interest in birding.

Fun for all ages.
