All About Bees
April 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
April is time for native Mason and Leaf Cutter Bees to begin emerging. These gentle little pollinators are ideal yard companions for those interested in conserving native species and having the best gardens on the block. Native bees pollinate flowers and vegetables nearly three times more efficiently than imported Honeybees. They are so gentle they can easily be observed without fear of being stung. This is an excellent way to introduce bees to young children. Join us for a presentation on these mini bees, how to welcome them to your yard and make a recycled nest box for them. Social distancing and face coverings are required.
