Educational Opportunities
The Huron-Clinton Metroparks Interpretive Services Department has one of the largest interpretive programs in the nation. It has been recognized for its professional leadership, education programs, expertise of staff and commitment to the natural and cultural environment.
The Interpretive Department offers on-site, off-site and school programs to teach about the rich natural and cultural history of southeast Michigan.
School program provide environmental, cultural and natural science literacy. All program support the Common Core Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math (STREAM) and Michigan Science Standards curriculum in content, methodology and technology use.
Individuals, families, groups and schools can enjoy a variety of interpretive programs including: field trips, summer camps, scout, homeschool, educational and holiday programs.
There are 10 full-service interpretive facilities and three mobile learning centers to engage all communities in southeast Michigan.
