MAY INTERPRETIVE EVENTS

“Moms and Marshmallows Campfire Program,” Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m., Nature Center. Bring your mom for an evening outdoors in this pre-Mother’s Day celebration that includes a campfire, songs, stories and marshmallow roasting. Fee: $2 per person, moms are free. Pre-registration required.

“Mothers Day Walk-a-Mom,” Sunday, May 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nature Center. In celebration of Mother’s Day, kids of all ages who walk the trail of their choice with mom will be awarded an official “Walk-A-Mom” certificate, and mom will get a garden flower to plant at home. This program is free, and registration is not required.

“Family Appreciation Day – Butterflies, Beetles and Bugs,” Sunday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nature Center. Go on a bug hunt, make an insect craft, hear an insect fable and play games that are sure to “bug” you. This program is free, and registration is not required.

“Almost Full Moon Walk – Flower Moon,” Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m., Nature Center. Join an interpreter to learn about the flower moon on this guided walk , followed by a themed snack. Fee: $3 per person. Pre-registration required. For ages 8 and older.
