“Bird Hike,” Saturday, May 3 and Saturday May 24 at 7:30 a.m. each day, Activity Center. Bring binoculars and a field guide to observe bird species seen in the park and record dates, locations, and trends from year to year. Explore a variety of habitats throughout the park. Fee: $2 per person. Pre-registration required.
“Junior Girl Scouts – Wildlife,” Sunday, May 4, Activity Center. Observe and identify birds, explore a variety of habitats, and learn about endangered and threatened plants and animals. All requirements will be met during this program. Please dress for the weather. Reservations must be made through the Huron Valley Girl Scout Council at 734-971-8800.
“Mother’s Day Wildflower Hike,”Sunday, May 11 at 1 p.m., Activity Center. Discover the spring wildflowers of Hudson Mills Metropark on Mother’s Day during this guided hike. Fee: $2 per person, moms are free. Pre-registration required.

Scouts will take samples from the river and discover what is living there. All badge requirements will be met during this program. “Brownies – Watching Wildlife,” Sunday, May 18, Activity Center. Scouts will explore how animals interact with each other, why some animals change color, and what they make their homes out of.
