Where is the park located?
The main park entrances are located off of I-96, at exit 151-Kensington Road, or exit 153-Kent Lake Road near Milford.
What amenities are included with the picnic shelters?
Picnic shelters, which typically accommodate 50-60 people, have picnic tables and trash barrels. They do not have electricity. Grills (for charcoal) are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Volleyball courts and ballfields are located near some of the picnic shelters.
Are dogs allowed in the park?
Yes, dogs are allowed, as long as they are on a leash six feet or shorter. Dogs are not allowed in some areas, including the farm learning center, nature center, golf course, nature trails and beaches.
Do you rent bikes?
You must bring your own bicycle to ride our picturesque eight-mile hike-bike trail, and helmets are required by local ordinance.
Is everyone required to wear a helmet on the hike-bike trail?
Anyone operating a wheeled device on the paved trail is required to wear a helmet.
Where can you rent canoes?
There are several canoe liveries located in Milford that rent canoes to paddle down the Huron River into Kensington Metropark.
Are your ski trails lit at night?
No they are not.
