PARK AMENITIES
Seeking an outstanding golf course with rolling fairways? Looking for a quiet place to fish? Huron Meadows Metropark is a quiet getaway just south of Brighton in Livingston County. Head to this 1,540 acre park to fish off the pier on Maltby Lake, take a walk on the trails, golf, or enjoy its other amenities.

BOAT RENTAL
A limited number of rowboats and paddleboats are available for rent from the Golf Starter Building for use on Maltby Lake. Private boats and gasoline motors are not allowed.

NEW!
SKATE-SKI CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAIL

We now groom a 6.2 mile trail for skate-skiing.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Marked, groomed trails. The Ski Touring Center (Golf Starter Building), open weekends only for ski rentals, features a heated lounge, restrooms and snacks. Groups of 10 or more can make arrangements to rent skis during the week.

FISHING
Fishing poles are available for loan (free) from the Golf Starter Building. Try shore fishing along the Huron River and Maltby Lake. A barrier-free fishing pier, accessible by ramp or steps, is located at the Sunset Ridge Picnic Area on Maltby Lake.


GOLF
This outstanding Par-72, 6,647 yard 18-hole course with rolling fairways is a pleasure to play. Beer and wine sold at the starter building; no coolers allowed.

Meeting Room: The Golf Activity Center Building has a meeting room and provides catering service (capacity 40 persons).


HIKING
Several trails totaling about five miles lead hikers through abandoned fields and wet woodlands. The one and one-half mile Adventure Trail is particularly colorful in spring with woodland wildflowers. Most trails begin at the Cedar Ridge Picnic Area. A one-mile trail around Maltby Lake begins at Sunset Ridge Picnic Area. Moderately hilly terrain.


ICE FISHING
Ice fishing on Maltby Lake when conditions permit.


PICNICKING
Sunset Ridge Picnic Area has a picnic shelter, volleyball court, children's play area and combination play/soccer field. Acorn Ridge Picnic Area, which is adjacent to Sunset Ridge, has a picnic shelter and horseshoe pits. Both of these picnic areas overlook Maltby Lake which has a handicap accessible ramp and stairway leading to a fishing pier. Cedar Ridge Picnic Area near the Huron River has a picnic shelter, swings and a soccer field.
