Part time, seasonal jobs at Lake St. Clair Metropark
Work from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Most positions are part time and offer less than 40 hours per week.
Hires will wear a prescribed park uniform, submit to a general physical and tolerate a driving records check.
All jobs require employees to be available to work weekends and holidays. Some jobs require evening hours. Paid lunch break is provided to all employees.
Applicants must indicate which position they are applying for. Up to two positions may be applied for per applicant. Applications accepted year round.
Season ending bonus system: New hire employees are eligible for a seasonal bonus award of 40 cents per hour worked if the employee worked a minimum of 400 hours during the season, was given a favorable performance evaluation by their supervisor and worked through the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Bonus awarded after termination. Only employees that meet the above criteria will be awarded the seasonal bonus.

Tollgate OperatorEmployees collect entry fees for vehicles and boats that enter the park.
Work includes selling entry permits, supplying patrons with handouts, providing directions to facilities within the park and answering questions related to the park and its activities.

This is a seasonal, part time position.

Pay rate - $7.80 per hour
Water Safety/LifeguardEnsure safety at the pool and waterfront on Lake St. Clair. Administer first aid and emergency measures. Maintain pool facility and swim area. Enforce facility regulations and public safety measures within facilities.
Must be a certified lifeguard with CPR and first aid certification.

Concessions AttendantConcessions attendants are hired by the food service company on site at Lake St. Clair Metropark. Advantage Food Management operates the Food Bar and all concession services at Lake St. Clair Metropark and hires attendants to work in the food bar on site.
Typical duties include but are not limited to cleaning, food preparation, customer service, general maintenance and stocking.
Advantage Food Management also provides exclusive catering services within park boundaries. Some concessions attendants work catering events as needed by management. Catering duties include but are not limited to setup, food preparation, serving, table/bus service, cleanup, dish and kitchen cleanup and deliveries.
These jobs require all applicants to work nights, weekends and holidays along with a variety of shifts.
Part time, seasonal job.
Rate of pay - $7.40
Employees hired by Advantage Food Service are not HCMA employees and do not qualify for any benefits and or bonuses provided to park employees. Concessions attendants report directly to the food bar and are supervised, scheduled and paid by Advantage Food Management.
