While we know that autumn olive and garlic mustard abound within the Metroparks, we are looking for help in heading off some others that may be heading our way.
While our top goal is preventing invasives from entering the Metroparks we understand that this is not always feasible. Beyond prevention, the easiest way to manage invasives species is at introduction. By attacking it before it is well established you have a higher success rate, lower cost, and its less labor intensive. To do this we need your help. Please keep an eye out for these invaders, if you happen to see one we would love to know about it. If you would like more information about a species, you can click on the picture and it will take you to invasive.org’s webpage. To submit a sighting please fill out the Invasive Species Detection Form below or contact the Natural Resources Department at (800) 477-2757.
