Winter STEM Olympics – Kensington Metropark

Overview

In celebration of the opening of the 23rd Winter Olympic Games this year, we are holding our own Winter STEM Olympics! Come out and participate in various STEM Adventures to “Do Your Best” in showing the Olympic Spirit while Scouting! This is an open event so bring friends and family to enjoy the day. NOVA Counselors and Metropark specialists will also be leading STEM activities so Scouts can achieve the NOVA.

Activities

  • Cardboard Sled Racing (Individual and/or Team)
  • A Competition of Innovation, Engineering and Cardboard!
  • Learn to Solder – Make Your Own LED Neckerchief Slides!
  • Native American Snow Snake Games
  • Winter STEM Activities leading Cub Scouts to complete Science Everywhere! NOVA
  • Let It Grow! NOVA for the Boy Scouts.
  • Petting Zoo
