Plant Survey Volunteer Day– Wolcott Mill Metropark

Overview:

When: Monday, August 13, 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.  (Wolcott Mill Metropark)

Activity: Volunteers will be helping to survey plants to create a species list. The purpose of the surveys is to create species lists of plants and wildlife using the ITC transmission line corridor (Wildlife Habitat Council project areas).  Staff will provide general instruction on plant identification and has several reference books on hand to help with plant and wildlife ID and species list making.  All knowledge/skill levels are welcome!

What to wear/bring: Volunteers should dress for outdoor work and off-trails, and be sure to wear close-toes shoes and long sleeves/pants. Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle and their lunch.
