Junior Naturalist: Maple Sugar

Overview:

It’s maple sugar season! You will learn the legends of the maple trees, why they grow here in the Great Lakes area, how to identify a sugar maple and other maple species, as well as tap it! Make your own spile, collect sap, and then learn how to turn the sap into maple syrup. Ages 8 – 12 years. Please preregister, (586) 781-9113.

A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $35 annually for regular admission, $21 annually for seniors or $10 daily.
