Girl Scout Brownies: Hiker
November 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
With over 7 miles of trails that are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, the Kensington Metropark Nature Area is the perfect place for earning your Brownie Hiker badge. For this program, we’ll have fun learning how to be prepared for a safe and enjoyable hike. Scouts will get to make a plan and choose their own trail, gain some new trail skills, learn how to select the appropriate gear, and make a tasty hiking snack. We’ll head outside to put our new knowledge to the test, and we’ll even play a game or two. This two-hour program will satisfy all requirements to earn the Brownie Hiker badge. A Girl Scout is always prepared so please remember to bring a water bottle, wear good hiking shoes, and dress for the weather. Please preregister, (810) 227-8917.
