Early American Skills Experience

June 17 - June 18

Overview:

This program is for teens and adults, and skill areas offered include Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Bead Working, Fiber Arts, Pioneer Life Skills, Open fire cooking on the open hearth, camp fire, Dutch oven and brick oven. You will complete a project to take home during the class. Located at the Kensington Living History Village, parking available at the Farm Center. Time:

  • Saturday 8 a.m. – Noon &  1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Cost: $30 for ages 14 – 21, $40 for age 60+, $50 for Adults 21 – 60

A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $35 annually for regular admission, $21 annually for seniors or $10 daily.
