Broomsticks & Hippogriffs Day Camp
July 31 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm
One event on August 1, 2019 at 10:30am
Under logs, in bogs; on trees or flying high with the bees. Indian Springs Metropark is home to an array of beasts, both small and large; but to see them one must first know where to look. Channel your inner Newt Scamander as we spend the day investigating the park high and low to find evidence of the magical beasts we can also find in our own backyards. We will spend time indoors for potions lessons and herbology, so be prepared to get a little messy.
This is a two-day camp, so make sure you are available for both days. Come prepared with sturdy shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, water bottle and a sack lunch. Dressed for the weather, as we will still explore in light rain. Ages 10 and up. Please preregister, (248) 625-7280.
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Environmental Discovery Center – Map Me
A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $35 annually for regular admission, $24 annually for seniors or $10 daily.
