Volunteers are needed to help at Kensington Metropark Farm Center’s maple sugaring programs held weekends in March. Volunteers can work alone, or in pairs, to help direct people, answer questions, and survey visitors between 11 am and 4 pm, Saturdays and Sundays, March 1 through 30.
Participants must be able to stand outside during their assignment. “This is the perfect opportunity for young people or others who need service credits, or would just like to get outdoors and help at this fun weekend program,” said Debbie Cavallaro, farm center supervising interpreter.
