Make this holiday break fun - visit the Huron-Clinton Metroparks!

Winter’s a blast at your Huron-Clinton Metroparks, with plenty to offer you over the holiday break. There’s no need to spend money for a trip up north when 25,000 scenic acres of tranquil woods, quiet waters and breathtaking scenery await your next visit.

Pack up sleds, hiking boots or cross-country skis to plan your trip. Outdoor recreation, such as sledding, snowboarding, tobogganing and ice skating are available at a number of Metroparks, weather and snow conditions permitting. Selected facilities are lighted at night. With enough cold weather and snow, the Metroparks can offer up to 75 miles of groomed ski trails. Paved hike/bike trails and nature trails can provide excellent opportunities to watch wildlife or take a leisurely stroll.

Interpretive centers at Kensington (Farm Center and Nature Center), Lake Erie and Indian Springs Metroparks will be open every day except Christmas Day. Interpretive Centers at Lake St. Clair, Oakwoods and Stony Creek Metroparks, and the Farm Center at Wolcott Mill Metropark will be open every day except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Historic Mill at Wolcott Mill Metropark will be open December 28, 29 and 30.

For information on the locations of these winter facilities and activities, please contact the park of your choice directly, contact the administrative office at 810-227-2757 or 800-477-2757, or visit www.metroparks.com.
