Hudson Mills Metropark has a ten-foot wide, paved path perfect for a day of biking. Skip spin class and cycle on 5.3 miles of trails coursing along the winding Huron River, through lush woodlands and expansive fields. Observe a variety of resident wildlife along the way.
The park's paved hike/bike trail consists of a 3.5-mile, looped trail in the main part of the park, which travels north and then crosses the river to head south for another 2 miles, traversing wooded areas along the west side of the Huron River.
Plans are underway to complete the last part of the trail, from where it ends on the west side of the river into the Village of Dexter. Construction of the extension is expected to begin late this summer or early fall, and will take one year to complete. We expect this trail to open in 2013. The existing trail will be open during construction, with the exception that the turn-around loop at the south end will be closed.
