Join us for the Fourth Annual Run 2 Read 5K & 10K Run/Walk at Stony Creek Metropark in support of Macomb Literacy Partners! Help benefit literacy educaton in Macomb County with a scenic run or walk along certified, shaded woody trails. Every year, Macomb LIteracy Partners works with hundred of tutors, Macomb County residents and partner organizations to help adults begin a new chapter in their lives by learning to read and write better.

Early registrants will receive a free t-shirt ($25 early registration for all races up to June &). Prizes will be awarded in each age category.

Get ready. Set. Go to walk on behalf of blood cancer patients in need of bone marrow transplants on Saturday, August 9 at Stony Creek Metropark. Proceeds will be used to support patient services, patient research, and adding new potential donors to our national registry to provide bone marrow transplants for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell anemia and other life threatening diseases. Join a park interpreter as they put out the bird feeders. Relax by the bird window as we identify the visiting birds. Come back each month to see the changes throughout the year. A limited number of binoculars will be available for use. Coffee and hot cocoa will be provided. This is a good program for beginner birders or anyone who is curious about birds. No need to register just stop by! Cost: $2 per person for more information call 586-781-9113
